ASK Defensive Training Co. is a family run business made up of husband Shawn Gibbs, wife Debbie Gibbs, and daughter Josie Gibbs.

Josie is off serving our country in the U.S. Navy as a Master at Arms. Debbie and I miss her but are very proud of her dedication and service.

ASK Defensive Training Co. was started because the founder Shawn Gibbs and his family saw a need for a simple straight forward approach to firearms training, without all the dogma that is associated with firearms training in general.

We’re not a huge company with deep pockets and endless inventory, but we make up for it with personalized service and competitive pricing. You’ll always have a friendly family atmosphere. And we don’t mind special ordering anything we don’t have in stock.

We will always try to greet you with a friendly “hello” when you walk through our door. And don’t be surprised if after we see you a few times in the store we great you by name.

At ASK you will always find friendly personalized service—never a long lines, no numbers to pull, but you will find a bar stool to sit on and someone who will be happy to help or just shoot the breeze (pardon the pun).

We’re all NRA certified instructors and love anything to do with the shooting sports and personal protection.

As strong supporters of the 2nd Amendment, we believe that everyone should be able to protect themselves and their loved ones. But we also believe that proper training is paramount.

With the staff we have assembled here at ASK Defensive Training Co. we have the utmost confidence that we will exceed your expectations. We have programs for all ages and genders, whether you just want to try shooting for the first time, want to brush up on your shotgun skills or you are a seasoned shooter looking for a new challenge, we have a course to meet your needs.

We offer a long list of NRA approved courses as well as ASK Defensive Training courses that cover personal protection, home defense, as well as hunting skills. Our mission is that we will leave no student behind!

Great place! Shawn and his wife our great people bought some Night Sites and a Bladetech Carry Belt from them Shawn is a no bones guy showed me some different types of belts could have easily talked me in to getting a more expensive belt The bladeTech does the job love the whole belt system waiting on the sites but I'm sure he will do a great job on them when they get installed. Have not taken the training class but reading the reviews looks like you can't go wrong.

I love the location! It is a great sign for all of us when a new store opens. After dealing with Shawn on a rifle purchase I have to say I hope ASK becomes a firearms cornerstone in the area. If your coming from the Riverside area do yourself a favor and skip Warrior One. The extra drive is worth it!
